  • Biography

           He received his Ph.D. from Peking University and was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley). His research has long focused on climate change, energy transition, and environmental health. He currently serves as the Chinese Focal Point of the BRICS Working Group on New and Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, and as the Chinese Coordinator of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) Special Policy Study on “Major Scientific and Technological Innovations for Green Transition.” He has been selected as a Young Talent and a “14th Five-Year Plan” High-Level Talent of Zhejiang University of Technology, as well as a recipient of the university’s “Star of the Grand Canal” Academic Rising Star Award.

           He is also a Chinese Expert Advisor for the G20 Research and Innovation Working Group (RIWG), a Young Editorial Board Member of Eco-Environ. & Health, Chair of the 3rd International Forum on Environment & Health, Vice Chair of the Peking University–American Chemical Society Publications International Conference on Environmental Health, and Expert for the Environmental Engineering Simulation Innovation track of the National Simulation Innovation Application Competition (Zhejiang Committee).

    To date, he has published over 100 SCI-indexed papers, with more than 7,000 citations and an H-index of 51. Among them, he has authored over 30 papers as first or corresponding author in journals such as Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T) and Water Research (WR). He is the first-author of a book chapter in Frontiers of Environmental Chemistry. He holds one authorized invention patent and has led the formulation of one group standard.

         He has presided over six national and provincial-level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General and Young Scientist Programs), the Zhejiang Province “Pioneer” R&D Program, and the Fundamental Research Funds for Provincial Universities. In addition, he has led three industry-funded projects. He has also participated in major national strategic consulting projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, including “Key Engineering Science and Technology Pathways and Implementation Mechanisms for Strengthening Green and Low-Carbon Development,” “Low-Carbon Transition Strategy of China’s Shipping Industry,” as well as the Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research Program.
