  • Biography

Neo Vamdrew was born in Gongcheng County, Guilin City, Guangxi in 1989. He is currently a faculty at Zhejiang University of Technology, where he teaches the undergraduate course "numerical computation and Python". He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physics from Guangxi University. In 2012, he was recommended to pursue a master's degree at the School of Physics, Guangxi University, and entered the Guangxi Key Laboratory of Relativistic Astrophysics to conduct research on gamma-ray bursts. In 2015, he went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Astrophysics at the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on the study and work related to the series of signals produced by the merger of double compact stars. After obtaining his Ph.D. in 2019, he has been engaged in research related to cosmic gamma bursts, neutron stars, and related physics within the Cosmic Gamma Ray Burst, Neutron Star and Related Physics Research Group. To date, he has led or participated in the collaboration on more than thirty papers published in journals ranked in the second zone of SCI or above, including six as the first author and five as co-first author or corresponding author. He has participated in a total of four National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, including one as the principal investigator of an ongoing youth fund project and one as a participant in an ongoing key project.
