  • Biography

    Professor Fan TU is a scholar in the field of spatial planning, industrial development and land use. She has served as a Fulbright Humphrey Fellow in the United States and as a SPURS Senior Visiting Scholar at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She was also an MSCP Senior Research Scholar in the MIT–Malaysia University of Technology collaborative program. Prof. Tu has led research projects recognized with the First Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Land Use Planning from the former Ministry of Land and Resources, among other national and provincial awards. She has undertaken several key research projects under the National Social Science Foundation, the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences program. Dr. Tu has published more than 30 academic articles in internationally renowned journals, including Habitat InternationalInternational Journal of the CommonsGrowth and Change, as well as in Chinese journals such as China Land ScienceGeographical ScienceUrban Planning InternationalChina LandChina Real EstateSocial Security Studies, and Price Theory & Practice. She is also the author of the monograph Government Behavior and Land Resource Allocation.
