  • Biography

Professor Xiangliang Pan obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Science at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003. In that year he joined the Institute of Nuclear Energy of Tsinghua University as a postdoc researcher. In 2005 he worked as an associate professor at State Key Lab of Environmental Geochemistry, Institute of Geochemistry, CAS and was promoted to the rank of Full Professor in 2008. Thereafter he was approved as a CAS 100-talent plan distinguished professor at Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography. In 2016 he was awarded as the leading scientist of 10000-talent plan of China. Currently he serves as full professor at College of Environment, Zhejiang University of Technology, the director of the Institute of Eco-environmental Engineeringand the president of academic committee of the college. He also serves as the director of some provincial key labs or research center. His research interests include evironmental biotechnology, environmental remediation, and  emerging pollutants, and remediation of contaminated soil and water. In recent years, Prof. Pan has directed over twenty projects including 2 projects under 863 and 973 Programs, 1 key NSFC-XJ project, and 1 National Key R&D Project. He has also chaired some national or international conferences in environmental microbiology, ecotoxicology and microplastic pollution. He published over 200 SCI papers  with a H-index of 55 and ranks the global top 1.5% scientists (1960-2022) and on the list of highly cited Chinese researchers (Elsevier) . He also serves as editorial board member of some international journals including Science of the Total Environment. He won Kuang-Cheng Wang Award of CAS for his prominent academic contribution in west China, Zhuliyuehua excellent teacher award and award of excellent Ph.D. student supervisor of CAS.

Postdoctor position: microplastic pollution; natural organic carbon stability; emerging contaminants; remediation of polluted ennvironment. Young scientists with good publication records are encouraged to apply for postdoc position.

Doctoral student position: Young students with at least one SCI paper (first author) are encouraged to apply.
