Prof. Jian-Quan Weng was born in 1974 in Jiande, Zhejiang province, China, and received his B.S. in fine chemistry from Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) in 1996. He obtained his PhD from ZJUT in 2005, and from then he worked at ZJUT. At 2008, he became an associate professor and became a professor at 2015. From 2013.07 to 2014.07, he worked in USDA-ARS-NPURU as a visiting scholar.
His current research interests include: 1) function and diversity oriented new organic synthesis methodology; 2) rational drug design, synthesis and bioactivity research based on biological targets; 3) development of green process for fine chemicals; etc.
In recent years, he hosted many projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Key Research and Development Program of Zhejiang Province, the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China, Public Project of Zhejiang Province and the science-business projects from companies. Prof. Jian-Quan Weng has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, and authorized over 40 Chinese patents as the first-inventor.
