🔬 Research Focus

Dr. Xi Chen's interdisciplinary research spans spatiotemporal intelligence, remote sensing and geographic information systems (RS&GIS), and sustainable development . His work integrates geospatial technology with environmental science to address critical challenges in arid and semi-arid regions.

🏆 Academic Leadership

• Led national flagship research programs as Chief Scientist, including the National 973 Program, National Major Engineering Projects, and Key International Cooperation Initiatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

• Directed the Xinjiang Scientific Expedition Big Data Platform (National Key R&D Program) and a Key Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
