Chenghongbing

Hongbing CHENG is currently a Professor in college of computer Science, Zhejiang University of Technology. He was a postdoctoral fellow of the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Nanjing University; was high-level talent of Six Talent Peaks in Jiangsu Province. At the same time, he is the Distinguished Professor of Huawei Network Security Foreign Training .Prof. CHENG have been to University of Manchester, University of Stavanger and Deakin University as Visiting scholar, visiting professor. He is the Team leader of Information and Privacy Protection Research, and has published numerous research papers in high-quality international journals and conferences. Prof. Cheng served as invited editor of several international journals in some international conferences; and has been invited to give keynote speeches and chair committees, reviewed papers for many international journals and conferences. His research interests include blockchain, cryptography, privacy preserving and information security, computer communications and cloud computing security.

Research direction: broaden horizons, cultivate logical thinking ability, and do real and practical research work.

 Blockchain security:

 Solve blockchain systems, smart contracts, and cross chain security and scalability issues.

 Skills: blockchain system knowledge, Program analysis technology, Cryptography technology

 Machine Learning Privacy and Security:

 Solve potential privacy and security problems in machine learning architecture, including big language model   and Collaborative learning

 Skills: machine learning technology, Trusted execution environment, Cryptography technology

Network anomaly detection:

  Addressing network security related issues, including attack detection, evolution, and countermeasures

  Skills: Basic network knowledge, machine learning technology

Internet of Things security and privacy protection:

 Addressing IoT security, including device authentication threats, device authorization threats, and privacy   protection

 Skills: embedded system knowledge, Program analysis technology

Till now, 58 doctoral and master students have been (or are currently) trained (or jointly supervised)by our team, most of them work in relevant company or university such as Alibaba, Huawei, Haikang, vocational colleges, as well as government and banks.

We warmly welcome doctoral students with professional backgrounds in computer, software, network, and information security to join our team as postdoctoral fellows. We warmly welcome master's students who have strong motivation, and will not give up to pursue a doctoral degree in our team. At the same time, we warmly welcome undergraduate students who have a strong interest in scientific research and a spirit of exploration to join our team to pursue a master's degree and continue pursuing a doctoral degree and postdoctoral degree.
